Drinks to ban to avoid dehydration

In summer, when temperatures start to rise, such as the number of hours of sunshine, it is important to remember that it is very important to drink plenty to avoid dehydration. This warning is even more important if we train outdoors, because sweating will cause us to lose even more water.

Another point to keep in mind is that he should be careful not to drink anything, as some drinks will have the opposite effect and will tend to dehydrate us. These are some of the drinks that should be avoided best when training during the summer.

Alcoholic beverages

In addition to its harmful effects on health, alcohol has a high dehydration capacity. This dehydration is responsible, among other things, for the hangover and can be our great enemy in summer, especially when we make physical efforts. Especially on hotter days, it is recommended to avoid alcoholic beverages, so as not to run risks during training.

Coffee in large quantities

If our body is used to it, and especially if we do not consume it in large quantities, coffee is not dangerous. However, it is not a moisturizing drink either, so it will not help us recover the liquid we will lose during training. If this is not the case, it may be better not to start drinking coffee regularly in the summer and wait until it gets cooler.

Soft drinks

At first, as its name suggests, it seems that soft drinks with their gas and bubbles are the most hydrating drinks. However, this is a mistake, because soft drinks not only do not hydrate us, but above all, they have a high concentration of sugar, our body uses a large amount of body water to dilute and treat it.

Soft drinks are not the only cause of dehydration, but drinks containing sugar also have the same effect on our bodies.
