Does Hogwarts Legacy have an arachnophobia mode?

Hogwarts Legacy, set to be released on February 10, 2023, will immerse you in an enchanting world full of potions, spells, and fantastical creatures. Among these creatures, some are majestic, like Hippogriffs, while others are dangerous, like the Basilisk. Acromantulas, giant spiders that repelled many Harry Potter viewers, are considered a loathsome creature. Will there be a question of avoiding these giant spiders in the new game Hogwarts Legacy?

Although Hogwarts is considered a very secure school, there is still an adjacent forest filled with creatures that could devour you. In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the Acromantulas such as Aragog are also present in the Forbidden Forest, causing a phobic reaction in some viewers. Games such as Evil West or Grounded have in the past allowed people with arachnophobia to breathe a little easier by adding an "Arachnophobia Mode". However, this is not the case in Hogwarts Legacy.

To finish the main story, you will have to face these spiders, sometimes even entire hordes if you come across one of their nests. Unfortunately for people suffering arachnophobia, it will not be possible to avoid these creatures that you will encounter starting from level 18 in the game if you focus on the main quest.

Despite this, the PC gaming community is supportive, and a mod should soon be available to allow players to remove these damn spiders from their game. However, for console players, it will not be possible to have this mod, and they would therefore have to wait for a potential update from the developers on this matter.
