Pacheta will not continue to manage Real Valladolid

After last week's defeat against Real Madrid, the Valladolid club announced the dismissal of their coach, who had been in charge of the team for 75 official matches.

On Monday, Real Valladolid announced that José Rojo 'Pacheta' was no longer the club's coach. The 6-0 defeat against Real Madrid, which left the team just one point away from the relegation zone, led to the dismissal of the Burgos-born coach.

Having arrived at Real Valladolid at the beginning of last season, just after the club's relegation to LaLiga SmartBank, Pacheta managed to give hope to the fans and achieved direct promotion to LaLiga Santander in a single season, where he coached the team's 27 matches this season.

The club announced that it had decided to change the direction of its bench "with the sole objective of staying in the first division at the end of the current campaign". It is the Uruguayan Paolo César Pezzolano who will succeed Pacheta to prepare for the next match against Mallorca.
