Wave 4 of the Additional Track Pass is coming to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the Nintendo Switch!

Mario Kart fans will be thrilled to learn that the fourth wave of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe additional track pack will be available starting from March 9 on the Nintendo Switch.

This update brings the Fruit Cup and the Boomerang Cup, offering 8 new tracks, including some classics from consoles like the Game Boy Advance, Nintendo GameCube, Nintendo DS, Wii, and the game Mario Kart Tour. Additionally, players will have the opportunity to discover a brand new track on Yoshi's Island!

Boomerang Cup:

• Choco Mountain (from Mario Kart Tour): A visually stunning course with golden skies, shimmering canals, and breathtaking panoramas, taken from the game Mario Kart Tour.
• Mario Circuit (DS): From the game Mario Kart DS, this circuit features Peach's Castle amidst its rolling landscape and winding roads.
• Waluigi Stadium (GCN): Get ready to race beyond the numerous obstacles and multiple ramps that make up this electrifying course, a beloved classic from the game Mario Kart: Double Dash!!
• Singapore Sling: Drift and race through the neon-lit city to claim first place on this colorful circuit... but beware of the vacationing Goombas! A beloved classic from the game Mario Kart Tour.

Fruit Cup:

• Amsterdam Street (from Mario Kart Tour): Speed through picturesque streets and vast fields of tulips on this circuit inspired by Amsterdam, a beloved classic from the mobile game Mario Kart Tour.
• Riverside Park (GBA): Beyond waterfalls and numerous bridges, you'll navigate tight turns and dense vegetation in this jungle-like course. A beloved classic from the game Mario Kart: Super Circuit.
• DK Summit (Wii): Rise to new heights and blaze a trail down the snowy, twisty, and treacherous slopes of this extreme circuit, filled with countless ramps and statues depicting well-known characters.
• Yoshi's Island: Race and have fun on this brand new circuit inspired by the game Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, released on the Super Nintendo console. Flutter your little legs to soar to the podium, and speed through flower-filled fields or across clouds scattered in the sky.

The update will also include the addition of a new playable character, Birdo, who made her first appearance on the tracks in Mario Kart: Double Dash!!. Players will have the option to select Birdo from nine different color options.

Wave 4 represents the fourth stage of a series of six planned downloadable content waves scheduled to be released by the end of 2023. This means players will have the opportunity to experience even more iconic tracks and characters from the beloved Mario Kart series.

Players can access these updates by subscribing to the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Additional Track Pass, available through a paid subscription to Nintendo Switch Online + Additional Pack, or by individually purchasing the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Additional Track Pack on the Nintendo eShop for €24.99. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe features a total of 96 tracks, including 48 additional DLC tracks.

As a reminder, Wave 5 of the game is expected to arrive during the summer of 2023, while Wave 6 is set to release towards the end of the year.
