Fortnite: 6 New Reality Augments in Patch 25.11, What Are Their Effects?

Since the deployment of Chapter 4 and Season 2, Fortnite has been constantly evolving. In addition to aesthetic additions, the gameplay and features of the game have also been improved. Season 4 brought a major modification to the Battle Royale mode: the introduction of reality Augments that grant you advantages throughout your match. With the 25.11 update, you will have access to six new reality Augments.

This unprecedented feature represents the main innovation of Chapter 4, and it has already won over players with its ability to bring variety and even strategy to matches. During your gameplay sessions in the Battle Royale mode, you have the opportunity to randomly acquire these enhancements. In this new season of Chapter 4, Epic Games has chosen to maintain this mechanic and add six new reality Augments to it. Here is the list of the six Augments that have been added with the 25.11 update:

• SHRUB MUD

• HEAVY HEADSHOTS

• HEAVY AMMO ACQUIRED

• THERMAL MUD

• SPLASH PARTY

• ROAMING REDEPLOY

Shrub Mud is one of the six new Augments. It will cover players in mud, which is particularly advantageous this season, whenever they enter large bushes, piles of leaves, or tall grass.

Heavy Headshots is the second new Augment. It grants players additional damage on headshots with heavy ammunition. This primarily applies to sniper shooters, so a headshot will now deal slightly more damage with this Augment. It probably won't be a one-shot kill unless the opponent doesn't have full health and shields, but it will inflict significant damage.

Heavy Ammo Acquired could be a good Augment to pair with the previous one. It allows players to acquire heavy ammunition by opening containers, along with additional ammo.

Thermal Mud is the fourth new Augment, and it does exactly what its name suggests. When covered in mud, players gain thermal vision. This could be an excellent combination with Shrub Mud.

Splash Party is one of those Augments that immediately grant items. In this case, players will immediately receive a batch of Slap Splashes, which can be used to aid all team members.

Roaming Redeploy is the final new Fortnite Augment of this season. It's also one of the more complex ones. When players leave ziplines, rails, vines, and bounce plants, they become immune to fall damage. With this Augment in effect, players can use glider redeployment in these situations, but only in these specific scenarios.
