How to Fix the Code 100 Problem in Apex Legends?

Players of Apex Legends, much like those in other online games, may sometimes encounter connectivity issues when trying to join a match.

These problems typically manifest in the form of error codes or error messages, such as "ea.com unable to connect." Among these errors, code 100 is often linked to internet connection issues or problems with EA servers.

Code 100 is generally associated with a connection problem to Apex Legends servers. To resolve this issue, here are some steps to follow:

First, check if the Apex Legends servers are available by consulting the server status on their official website.

If the servers are online, and you still encounter the problem, some YouTubers suggest changing your DNS. Here's how to do it based on your platform:

On PC:

  • Open the command prompt on Windows using the Win + R key combination.

  • Type "ncpa.cpl" in the "Open" bar.

  • In the new window, right-click on your Internet connection and select "Properties."

  • Look for "Internet Protocol Version 4" and click "Properties" once you find it.

  • Go to the "Use the following DNS server addresses" section and enter the following settings:

  • Preferred DNS server: 8.8.8.8

  • Alternate DNS server: 8.8.4.4

  • Click "OK" to apply the changes and restart your computer.

On PlayStation:

  • Go to "Settings," then "Network," and finally "Set Up Internet Connection."

  • Choose the connection method, either WiFi or LAN cable.

  • Select "Custom" and enter the following DNS settings:

  • IP Address Settings: Automatic

  • DHCP Host Name: Do Not Specify

  • DNS Settings: Manual

  • Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8

  • Secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4

  • MTU Settings: Automatic

  • Proxy Server: Do Not Use

  • Save your settings and relaunch Apex Legends.

On Xbox:

  • Go to "Settings," then "Network," then "Advanced settings," and finally "DNS settings."

  • Enter the following DNS settings:

  • Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8

  • Secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4

  • Save your settings and relaunch Apex Legends.

If despite all these steps, your problem persists, do not hesitate to submit a support ticket by visiting the dedicated Apex Legends section on EA Help (source) and clicking on "Contact Us." EA's support team will be able to assist you in resolving the specific issue you are facing. Stay patient and persistent, as support teams continually work to enhance the gaming experience for players and resolve technical problems that may arise. Good luck on the battlefields of Apex Legends!
