In addition to cosmetic updates, gameplay improvements, and game features are available. The major modification brought to Battle Royale for Season 4 involves reality bonuses that provide advantages throughout your match. With update 26.00, 6 new reality bonuses are introduced to the game.

The addition of new reality bonuses in Fortnite with the 26.00 update of Chapter 4 Season 4 marks a significant patch novelty. This mechanic is already highly appreciated by players as it adds diversity to matches and even strategy. During your Battle Royale matches, you have the chance to randomly acquire these upgrades. For this new chapter 4 season, Epic Games chose to retain this mechanic while adding 6 new reality bonuses. Here are the 6 new bonuses included in the 26.00 patch:

• Heist Sack: Containers you open contain items you would normally find in a heist sack.
• Absorbing Sniper: Sniper rifles absorb player health with each shot.
• Ammo Gain: You not only receive ammunition, but eliminated players also leave more ammo behind.
• First Pump Shot: The first shotgun shell inflicts additional damage.
• Pistol Volley: Pistols have a reduced fire rate but deal more damage.
• Express Fishing: You swim faster and instantly empty a fishing spot by swimming through it.

Additionally, old reality bonuses are making a return to Fortnite:

• Light Fingers
• First Assault
• Supercharge
• Steady Grip
• Submachine Gun Finale
• Key Mastery
• Beneficial Parkour
• Swift but Dangerous
• Slap Momentum
• Standard Bullet Gain
• Healing Mud
• Scoped Salvo
• To unlock these reality bonuses, there's no specific method. You'll obtain them by playing and being lucky. They can be found in-game by opening your map and going to the "Reinforcements" tab. You'll notice that there are 4 types of reality bonuses:
• Combat
• Upheaval
• Mobility and Reconnaissance
• Loot
