The Super Mario Bros. movie is available on Twitter! How to watch it?

Since its release, the Mario movie has enjoyed resounding success, generating massive excitement among fans who warmly welcomed this cinematic foray into the Nintendo universe. This triumph has prompted Nintendo's creative minds to consider a sequel to the film.

However, the undeniable success of Mario has also piqued the interest of pirates, as is often the case with popular film productions. Film piracy has been a widespread practice for many years. Nevertheless, Mario fell victim to a rather unique form of piracy.

Typically, pirated films find their way onto specialized websites or are streamed on unscrupulous platforms. In Mario's case, the film ended up on even more surprising platforms, notably Argentine television.

A few days ago, GEN TV was broadcasting the entire film during prime time, just a few weeks after its official release. It's likely that this television channel did not have the broadcasting rights, which could potentially upset Nintendo.

Even more unexpectedly, the film also surfaced on Twitter, where it was illegally and freely streamed for 48 hours. In total, the film's video reached nearly 10 million views before being taken down. How could such a situation have occurred?

To a large extent, the problem is linked to Twitter Blue, a subscription service that allows users to post one-hour videos. The Mario film was simply split into two parts to be published on the platform. Currently, it's no longer possible to watch the film for free on Twitter, which is, in fact, illegal.

Furthermore, the situation was exacerbated by inadequate moderation on Twitter, primarily due to the layoffs of many employees by Elon Musk. This allowed the video to remain online for two days. Nintendo, known for its strict protection of its rights, may respond harshly to this incident, potentially leading to legal consequences for those responsible for this illegal distribution.

Faced with these various forms of piracy, Nintendo will likely need to take drastic measures to protect its beloved mustachioed plumber. First, it's likely that legal actions will be taken against those who illegally broadcasted the Mario film, whether on Argentine television or Twitter. Nintendo's lawyers are closely monitoring these potential copyright violations, and legal actions could be taken against the offenders. This would serve as a deterrent to others tempted to engage in the piracy of protected content.

Simultaneously, Nintendo may step up its digital security efforts to prevent future leaks of its cinematic works. This could include measures such as strengthening digital file protection and increased cooperation with online platforms to swiftly detect and remove pirated content.

Finally, it's important to note that this piracy could impact Nintendo's future cinema plans. The company may be more reluctant to grant broadcasting rights to television channels or online platforms without reinforcing their controls and security assurances. This could mean that Nintendo will consider stricter in-house distribution options for its future cinematic adaptations to better protect its valuable intellectual property.
