FC Pro 24 Open: Global Qualifier Triumphs with 340K Peak Viewers

FC Pro 24 Open: Historic Virtual Football Tourney Milestone

The London Global Qualifier has achieved unprecedented success, shattering records with an astounding 2 million hours watched and reaching peak viewership. This historic accomplishment can be attributed to notable regional representation and viewer incentives, making it the pinnacle of success in the history of football simulator tournaments.

The FC Pro 24 Open - Global Qualifier took place in London from November 10 to 12, paving the way for the main event scheduled for February 2024. The qualifier featured a diverse field of 64 players, including both invited participants and winners from regional qualifiers in Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia, Africa, and other divisions. Germany and the Netherlands are set to be prominently represented in the final tournament, each boasting three players, while Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, and Italy will have two representatives each.

The event garnered significant attention, amassing over 2 million hours watched, with an average viewership of 115.1K and a peak viewership of 340K. This success can be attributed to strategic incentives, as viewers on official EA SPORTS channels had the opportunity to receive player card packs in EAFC 24. Community casters covered the Group Stage, with official tournament broadcasts commencing from the Playoffs stage. In total, 109 channels provided coverage for the qualifier tournament, with the official EA Sports channels on Twitch and YouTube emerging as the most popular.

Notably, this qualifier set a new peak viewership record in the history of football simulators, surpassing the previous milestone set by the FIFA 21 Challenge at 328K concurrent viewers.
