In an epic clash, the Jade Dragons defy odds, conquering Smite 

Epic Grand Final: Historic Revelation and Peak Viewership Unveiled

The Season X SMITE World Championship at Esports Stadium Arlington concluded with the Jade Dragons emerging victorious after defeating the Styx Ferrymen in the semifinals and overcoming the undefeated Oni Warriors in the grand finals with a strategic selection of Pele. 

In a surprising turn of events, The Jade Dragons pulled off a remarkable victory by defeating The Styx Ferrymen 3-2 in a five-match set. The Jade Dragons, who have faced challenges throughout the season, managed to overcome the odds against a formidable opponent. The Styx Ferrymen, considered one of the top two teams expected to advance to the finals alongside the Warriors, were unexpectedly bested by The Jade Dragons in a match that left fans stunned. 

Held from January 4 to 15, the tournament marked the culmination of Smite's esports journey, featuring eight teams that navigated a challenging qualification path. The event also signaled a significant development with the announcement of Smite 2, possibly concluding the first installment's esports era. 

The tournament recorded peak viewership of 56.7K during the grand finals, accumulating 1.6M hours watched and an average of 24.7K viewers over 67 hours. The unique final day included a session where developers and audience members crafted an imaginary God named Bake Neko, followed by a Smite 2 Dev Insight panel offering insights into the upcoming sequel's features and gameplay. The legacy of SMITE's Season X World Championship is marked by intense battles, unexpected outcomes, and the anticipation of a new era in esports with the advent of Smite 2.
