Free Fire Joins Esports World Cup Roster

The Esports World Cup is set to feature Free Fire, one of the leading battle royale games developed by Garena. With a price pool of $1,000,000, the tournament will host 18 teams competing in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from July 10 to 14. Teams will emerge from five local Free Fire tournaments and ESL's Free Fire Snapdragon Pro Series to fight for victory.

Ralf Reichert, CEO of the Esports World Cup Foundation, expressed enthusiasm for Free Fire's inclusion, citing its significant impact on mobile esports. Ralf Reichert said:

"Free Fire has been a major force in mobile esports, pushing boundaries and setting records. Our summer event brings together the best games, and the Esports World Cup: Free Fire is a natural fit. It is a prestigious competition that shows the power of esports to unite players and fans worldwide. Get ready for an epic battle royale showdown in Riyadh!

Highlighting the stakes of the tournament, it was revealed that the champion of the Esports World Cup: Free Fire will secure a coveted spot at the Free Fire World Series Global Finals 2024, slated to take place in Brazil. Harold Teo, representing Garena, echoed this sentiment, underlining the company's unwavering commitment to delivering an unparalleled esports experience to players across the globe.

Free Fire's addition to the roster of esteemed titles at the Esports World Cup further enriches the lineup, which already boasts illustrious games like Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Dota 2, Counter-Strike 2, Honor of Kings, and StarCraft II. Together, these games represent a diverse tapestry of esports communities, promising a thrilling spectacle that transcends borders and unites gamers worldwide.
