Patch notes 29.00 for Fortnite: Everything you need to know about the update

Fortnite continues its commitment to constant reinvention, offering its players fresh content with each new season! This month, as spring approaches, we're diving into Chapter 5, Season 2 of Fortnite, following the remarkable Season 1 and the collaboration with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The previous season introduced three successful game modes: LEGO, Rocket Racing, and Festival!

As with each season, a theme is emphasized, which will be maintained throughout the adventure. This time around, the theme of Chapter 5 and Season 2 is "MYTHS AND MORTALS," and we already have a glimpse of the contents of patch note 29.00!

With update 29.00, Fortnite undergoes a major transformation. The map is morphing to accommodate the depths of Hades and Mount Olympus of Zeus. Although Epic Games' official patch notes are not yet available, the game has been under maintenance since 9 AM, and the servers should be accessible between noon and two, or possibly in the early afternoon if the update takes longer.

The Battle Pass and Skins

The new Battle Pass has been officially revealed with an image showcasing the 8 skins, notably the flagship collaboration of the season with the Avatar franchise, featuring the last Airbender. Korra can be seen on the right.

New Weapons of the Season

Images appear to show the new weapons of the season, including Zeus's lightning bolt, new assault rifles, and perhaps even Poseidon's Trident? Icarus's wings are also discernible. In total, 6 new weapons are anticipated for this season:

• Zeus's Lightning: Launch lightning bolts while airborne. You'll have only three charges. To obtain it, you must defeat Zeus.

• Guardian Shotgun: Fires three projectiles rapidly. Effective at close range. You'll find it on the island with a mythical version by facing Cerberus.

• Foretelling Submachine Gun: You can obtain the mythical version by facing Hades.

• Predator Sniper Rifle: You can obtain its mythical version by facing Zeus.

• Warrior Assault Rifle: Defeat Ares to obtain the mythical version.

• Icarus's Wings: Allows you to fly. They can be found anywhere on the island.

• Chains of Hades: They will be available later in the season.

New Named Locations

Fortnite's map transforms with 4 new named locations for this season:

• Mount Olympus: Home to Zeus.

• Grim Gate: Home to Cerberus, the three-headed dog.

• The Underworld: As expected, Hades awaits you there!

• Brawler's Battleground: You can face Ares here.
