OpTic Texas hosts intense Call of Duty competition in Texas arena

OpTic Texas prepares to host the Call of Duty League Championships

The 2024 Call of Duty League Championship Weekend will take place from July 18 to 21 at the Credit Union of Texas Events Centre in Allen, Texas. This four-day event is hosted by OpTic Texas and features the top eight Call of Duty League teams competing for a share of the $2 million prize pool. 

The tournament promises intense Modern Warfare 3 action as teams battle for the championship title. OpTic Texas, currently in third place, will likely face strong competition on Championship Sunday. Although the event is not held in their home arena, proximity to Austin ensures a strong OpTic fan presence. 

Tickets are available at various price points, totaling around $250 for the full experience. Spectators can also watch the 2024 Challengers Finals, where 16 challenger teams compete for their own title. 

Sponsors include Wingstop, CordaRoy’s, Dairy MAX, Razer, and SCUF, offering fan engagement activities such as meet and greets with OpTic content creators and watch parties. The event highlights the league's support for team-organized events and waives outstanding entry fees owed by franchises. 

Daniel Tsay, General Manager of Call of Duty Esports, expressed excitement about hosting the event in Texas and closing out the season with high-energy competition and fan involvement.
