T1's presence propelled MSI Play-In stage to record-breaking viewership

MSI 2024 Breaks Records with Biggest Viewer Turnout Yet!

The Mid-Season Invitational 2024 Play-In stage concluded in Chengdu, China, with leading teams advancing to the next round, aligning with expectations.

The Play-In stage achieved record-breaking viewership statistics, particularly due to the involvement of T1, a globally recognized League of Legends team.

The showdown featured big-name squads like T1, Talon Esports, Top Esports, and Fnatic, showcasing the cream of the crop from major league scenes. T1's appearance played a crucial role in pulling in massive viewer numbers, hitting a peak of over 1.5 million simultaneous viewers during their debut match. T1's influence was felt across the board, especially in the Korean viewer count, which surged by a staggering 422% compared to last year's figures.

Matches without T1 or Fnatic also drew large audiences, nearing one million viewers in several instances. The entire Play-In stage experienced substantial growth across all metrics, with a 56% rise in peak viewership and a 26.5% increase in average viewers compared to last year.
