On May 23, the CCT Season 1 Global Finals concluded with a thrilling climax, solidifying a major moment in the Counter-Strike esports landscape. In a stunning performance, Turkish organization Eternal Fire triumphed over the renowned Team Liquid in the grand finale. Despite Team Liquid's formidable reputation, they fell short in this decisive match, as Eternal Fire showcased their dominance and clinched the championship. 

In a stunning conclusion to the best-of-five (BO5) final, Eternal Fire swept Team Liquid 3-0 to claim victory. Despite Inferno being Team Liquid's chosen map, they struggled, securing only 5 rounds and losing 13-5. On Anubis, Eternal Fire's pick, Team Liquid showed some improvement but still fell short with a score of 13-10. The third map, Dust 2, was fiercely contested, with Team Liquid pushing the game to overtime. However, Eternal Fire emerged victorious with a 13-11 win, sealing their decisive sweep. 

The final map, Nuke, ended with Eternal Fire clinching a narrow 16:14 victory. Eternal Fire's triumph earned them a $250,000 prize, while Team Liquid received $100,000. The event amassed over 2.9 million hours of watch time, setting a new peak viewership record for the series. The CCT, which began in 2022, has hosted online tournaments across multiple regions. This season's Global Finals featured top teams like Fnatic, ENCE, Astralis, OG, and Team Liquid, competing for a $500,000 prize pool. Eternal Fire's win marks their biggest achievement to date, with XANTARES leading the charge.
