Activision continues the gradual unveiling of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 through various formats, including short videos on Twitter and longer content on YouTube, as well as within the latest games in the franchise.
On Monday, June 3rd, additional elements of the story were revealed in-game, providing new insights into what Black Ops 6 has in store for us. Here's what we've learned.
We saw Frank Woods appearing in Warzone, this time in a wheelchair, which could suggest that the events of Black Ops 2 are considered part of the story's canon.
As a reminder, Black Ops 6 will take place during the Gulf War, between 1990 and 1991. During a briefing by Woods, it is revealed that players must search for clues about a mole he is tracking.
Thanks to additional clues, it appears that the mole might be Adler, as suggested by a poster with his head marked with a bounty, accompanied by a document designating him as a state enemy. More information is expected to be revealed at the Xbox Game Showcase on June 9th and the Summer Game Fest on June 7th.
Expectations are immense for Black Ops 6, especially regarding gameplay innovation and narrative depth. Previous installments in the Black Ops series have consistently pushed the boundaries of what players expect from first-person shooters, and this new title promises to follow that tradition.
We can expect sophisticated multiplayer modes, captivating co-op missions, and a solo campaign full of twists. Graphics and gameplay mechanics should continue to advance, offering an even more realistic and immersive experience.
Lastly, let's remember that Black Ops 6 will be available at launch for Game Pass subscribers on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, and the game will include the zombies mode popularized in Vanguard.
