Sentinels and Tarik shine in Valorant Champions 2024 Playoffs 

The opening round of the Valorant Champions 2024 Playoffs brought high-stakes action as top teams from around the world clashed in Seoul, Korea. 

 Sentinels, bolstered by star streamer tarik, secured a decisive 2-0 victory against DRX, marking the highlight of the first round with over 600,000 peak concurrent viewers. This match stood out as the most-watched game, with tarik’s massive following driving impressive viewership numbers, proving Sentinels' strong fan base. 

Meanwhile, EDward Gaming maintained China's dominance by defeating Trace Esports, while Leviatán, with star player aspas, managed to upset G2 Esports 2-0. Team Heretics also delivered a surprising performance, knocking out Fnatic with a clean sweep, showcasing the unpredictable nature of this year's tournament. 

Despite lower overall viewership compared to last year—partly due to the absence of Brazilian team LOUD, which led to a significant drop in Portuguese-language viewership—the tournament still managed to draw solid numbers. With the event set to continue until August 25, all eyes are on who will emerge as the 2024 Valorant World Champion​.
