How to Find the Purple Cloud Mountain in Black Myth: Wukong

Black Myth: Wukong is a Souls-like game filled with hidden areas. One of these is the Purple Cloud Mountain, which can be accessed during Chapter 4. To unlock it, you will have to defeat a boss twice. Here’s how to proceed.

Step 1: First Encounter with the Venom Daoist

To begin, you must locate and defeat the Venom Daoist. This initial battle takes place near the Webbed Hollow, past the webbed cocoons. 

Follow these steps to find him:

• After activating the altar, proceed to the area where cocoons hang from above.
• Use invisibility to pass through the area without attracting enemies.
• At the end of the path, you’ll find a house with a large cocoon hanging from a tree.
• Attack the cocoon to trigger the fight against the Venomous Daoist.

Step 2: Second Encounter with the Venom Daoist

The Venom Daoist reappears towards the end of Chapter 4, in the Temple of the Yellow Flower, located in the Court of Illumination Shrine. 

Here’s how to locate him:

From the Court of Illumination Shrine, turn back and follow a path leading to a house where an enemy sleeps next to a chest.

Take the path to the left to enter a cave.

This second fight is more challenging, as you’ll need to defeat both phases of the boss.

Step 3: Accessing Purple Cloud Mountain

Once the Venom Daoist has been defeated in both encounters, a mural will appear on the cave wall. Interact with this mural to gain access to the secret area of Venom Daoist. This hidden zone is packed with new enemies, additional quests, and bosses!
