Call of Duty Endowment Bowl V: Gaming meets military for a cause 

The Call of Duty Endowment Bowl V (C.O.D.E. Bowl V), held on August 28, 2024, in Washington, D.C., has emerged as one of the top Warzone tournaments of the year. Organized by the Call of Duty Endowment, this annual event brings together esports teams from various U.S. military branches, including the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard, as well as international teams from the UK and Canada. 

More than just a gaming event, C.O.D.E. Bowl V serves as a platform to support veteran employment, with the Endowment placing over 125,000 veterans in jobs since 2009. The tournament also acts as a recruitment tool for the U.S. Armed Forces, showcasing the strong link between military teamwork and gaming strategies. 

With a 71% increase in hours watched, the event reached 360,000 total hours, with peak viewership hitting 99,100. Popular streamers like Aydan and Symfuhny joined military personnel, further boosting its popularity across ten platforms. As the fifth most-watched Warzone event in 2024, C.O.D.E. Bowl V continues to demonstrate the growing influence of gaming in supporting veterans and promoting military careers.
