Valorant's competitive landscape shifts as Bleed Esports exits VCT Pacific

Riot Games has officially removed Bleed Esports from the VCT Pacific 2025, citing "operational failures" and breaches of the Team Participation Agreement (TPA). Riot emphasized that the decision was made to protect the integrity of the league and safeguard the players involved.

Bleed Esports acknowledged their difficulties in meeting obligations but mentioned efforts to resolve the issues with Riot. They have now announced plans to reassess their future within the Valorant competitive scene, while remaining eligible for participation in the Challengers league.

To fill Bleed's spot in VCT Pacific 2025, Riot has promoted Boom Esports, the runner-up of VCT Ascension Pacific 2024. The Indonesian team came close to winning the Ascension final but lost to Sin Prisa Gaming. However, this unexpected promotion offers Boom Esports a chance to compete on the Pacific stage at the highest level.

Furthermore, the removal of Bleed Esports’ roster from the VCT Global Contract Database indicates the probable departure of international Valorant star Jacob "yay" Whiteaker. After being benched in May 2024, it seems likely that "yay" will now seek new opportunities, marking a major development in the esports landscape.
