Is Crossplay Available in Off The Grid?

Off The Grid, the new battle royale developed by Gunzilla Games and co-founded by director Neill Blomkamp, recently launched in early access, drawing attention from many players. One common question is whether crossplay is available, allowing players to team up with friends across platforms.

Currently, during this early access phase, crossplay is not yet active in Off The Grid. This means players on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S cannot yet face off or play together. However, the developers have announced that crossplay functionality between PlayStation and Xbox is in development.

No specific release date has been set for this feature. For PC players, this may be a bit disappointing, as they’ll have to wait before they can join friends on consoles.

Vlad Korolev, CEO and co-founder of Gunzilla Games, stated in a release: “With crossplay, we aim to create a unified gaming community without platform boundaries, allowing for unrestricted interaction between players regardless of their hardware.” This message highlights the studio’s intention to make the game accessible to all and encourage multiplayer sessions between friends on any console.

Although crossplay isn’t available yet, Off The Grid continues to evolve. With over 260 weapons and various combinations, the game is constantly improving, and crossplay support is expected to be included in an upcoming update for console players.

Until then, PC players will need to be patient before they can join their friends on consoles. Even without crossplay, Off The Grid remains a promising gaming experience that will continue to expand over time.
