Fortnite recruits Shohei Ohtani: the first baseball player to get his own skin!

Fortnite continues to expand its universe with a prestigious collaboration: Shohei Ohtani, the Japanese MLB superstar, joins the game starting March 17, 2025. The Los Angeles Dodgers player becomes the first baseball player to be included in the Icon Series.

Two exclusive outfits will be available.
The first features his Dodgers uniform in white and gray, paired with a back bling representing his dog Decoy in the form of a bobblehead figure. This outfit will also have an exclusive LEGO style. The second, more spectacular, transforms Ohtani into a futuristic samurai in black and gold, with a fiery right arm after each elimination. His back bling, the "Samurai Screamer," features a flaming baseball topped with a helmet.

In addition to these skins, players can obtain the "Trusty Two-Way" pickaxe and the "Baseball Batana," along with exclusive emotes, including one where Ohtani hits a ball with his dog Decoy and another inspired by his signature ritual.

On March 15, a solo tournament, the Shohei Ohtani Cup, will allow the best players from each region to unlock the "Samurai Shohei" skin in advance. Starting March 18, special Ohtani-related quests will offer XP rewards until the end of Chapter 6 - Season 2.

This collaboration coincides with the launch of the 2025 MLB season and the MLB Tokyo Series, where the Dodgers will face the Cubs on March 18 and 19. A partnership that once again highlights Fortnite's ability to blend sports, culture, and video games, while attracting a new audience.
