Virtus.pro triumphs in Marvel Rivals Invitational, claiming victory over Team OG

Virtus.pro (VP) triumphed as the champions of the Marvel Rivals Invitational 2025 EMEA, clinching a $40,000 prize after a hard-fought 4-2 victory over Team OG in the highly anticipated grand final. The intense match showcased exceptional skill and determination, with VP emerging victorious in a thrilling battle that kept fans on the edge of their seats. 

The event unfolded in two phases: a Swiss Stage from February 28 to March 2, 2025, followed by a double-elimination bracket from March 7 to March 9, 2025. VP showcased consistency and strong strategies throughout both stages. 

The grand finals delivered an intense showdown. VP struck first, but OG fought back before VP ultimately took control. The final match on Birnin T’Challa ended with a decisive 2-0 victory, sealing VP’s championship win. 

Tournament MVP Finnbjörn ‘Finnsi’ Jónasson played a crucial role, excelling as Dr. Strange and Magneto. Andreas ‘Nevix’ Karlsson, VP’s Vanguard player, reflected on the victory: “you’re going to get some competition, you’re going to get challenged and you just got to lock in, be calm, stay focused, and I think that’s what we did today.” 

With this triumph, VP solidifies its place at the top of Marvel Rivals esports in Europe.
