A Team Rocket-Focused Expansion Comes to Pokémon TCG: Shining Revelry– Everything You Need to Know

Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) fans can celebrate the announcement of the Scarlet & Violet – Shining Revelryexpansion, set to release on May 30, 2025. This new series centers around the infamous Team Rocket and promises to revive nostalgia while introducing new gameplay mechanics. Giovanni and his corrupted Pokémon take control, allowing players to dive into the dark world of legendary antagonists.

Shining Revelryshines a spotlight on the iconic criminal organization led by Giovanni. Through this expansion, you'll have the chance to collect cards of their famous Pokémon like Mewtwo-ex, while discovering characters and creatures under the influence of Team Rocket. It’s a unique opportunity to play on the dark side and build strategic decks by embodying the antagonists of the Pokémon universe.

The series will feature an impressive set of cards, perfect for both collectors and competitive players. Here’s what to expect:

• 83 new cards showcasing Team Rocket and their iconic Pokémon.

• 17 Pokémon EX cards, including 10 associated with famous trainers.

• 23 Pokémon "rare illustration" cards, for passionate collectors.

• 11 Pokémon "special rare illustration" cards, some of the most sought-after.

• 6 "hyper rare" gold-textured cards, adding prestige to your collection.

These cards will be available in boosters, Elite Trainer Boxes (ETB), and special collections.

Shining Revelrydoes more than just add new cards. This expansion introduces innovative gameplay mechanics, including the return of Pokémon EX. The expansion offers various products to satisfy collectors:

• Elite Trainer Box (ETB): This box contains 9 boosters, a full art promo card, card sleeves, a detailed expansion guide, competition dice, and 45 Energy cards. A special Pokémon Center version will also be available, including 11 boosters and an exclusive promo card.
   

• Tripacks and Pre-release Kits: The tripacks feature unique illustrations and extra boosters. The pre-release kits offer popular Pokémon like Typhlosion, Gyarados, Mimikyu, and Tyranitar.
