Rematch: How to Join the Beta and Playtest the Game Before Its Official Release

Heard about Rematch, the new multiplayer game from the creators of Sifu and Absolver? This fast-paced, skill-demanding 5v5 football game officially launches on June 19, 2025… but if you’re eager to play it before everyone else, good news: an open beta is already available. Yep, you can get in starting today—just follow a few simple steps.

Why join the beta?
Because it’s way more than just a demo. You’ll not only get an exclusive look at the game’s ultra-technical gameplay, but also have a chance to give feedback and help the devs fine-tune everything before launch. And let’s be honest—it’s always cool to get a head start, especially with mechanics that take some skill and practice. Player feedback is super valuable, so your opinion can really make a difference.

The next open beta takes place from April 18 to 19, 2025, and it’s available on PC via Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. But heads up: spots are limited and access is invite-only. So don’t wait if you want a shot at getting in.

To sign up, go to the game’s official website: playrematch.com. Click on the “Beta invites” button, choose your platform, and fill out the short form with your email, first name, and country. Even if some info is optional, fill it all out—it might help you get noticed. You’ll need to agree to receive the Rematch newsletter, since that’s how they’ll confirm your spot and, if selected, send you your beta key. Don’t forget to validate your registration via the email they send (and check your spam folder just in case).

If you’re selected, you’ll receive a key you can activate on your chosen platform (for example, on Steam: go to “Games” > “Activate a Product” and enter the key). Quick and easy. To boost your chances, register as soon as possible—these things usually work on a “first come, first served” basis. Also consider following the game on social media and joining their Discord—they sometimes drop extra invites or bonus access there.

One last tip: if you’ve already taken part in previous playtests, you’ve got a better shot at being selected again. And if you’re really hyped, you can even preorder the Pro or Elite Edition of the game—not only will you get guaranteed beta access, but also a three-day head start before the official launch.
