Deployed on April 22, 2025, the 3.1 update for Dofus, titled "Operation Consolidation", marks a major milestone for Ankama’s iconic MMORPG. With a clear focus on improving stability, this patch introduces a wide array of balance changes, quality-of-life updates, and some exciting new features.
The biggest highlight? Dofus now runs on Unity 6. This technical upgrade required an extended beta phase and led to an exceptionally long maintenance period — a testament to the scale of work done behind the scenes. Players are advised to update their systems before May to avoid compatibility issues.
One of the key goals of update 3.1 is better combat consistency, especially in areas like Frigost. Monster HP has been harmonized within each family, reducing inconsistencies between similarly leveled foes. This makes fights more balanced — particularly against groups like Boufmouths and Truches. Additionally, many low-level monster spells have been tweaked to ensure a fairer experience for new players.
Divine Dimensions see the arrival of new fight modifiers such as "Crippling Movement" and "Crippling Summon", which apply stackable AP-reduction debuffs. These mechanics add strategic complexity to high-end content. Meanwhile, archmonster and bounty target respawn times have been reduced — great news for achievement hunters.
Expect to see new equipment alongside significant overhauls to existing sets. Some gear, like the Pyramid and Cursed sets, gets buffed, while others are nerfed to curb PvP dominance. The Forgelave Dofus is improved, and numerous weapons receive stat changes to support global balance.
Éliotrope shines with a partial portal and utility spell rework. A new passive now grants +20% damage when casting through portals, making its gameplay more fluid and rewarding.
Steamer, Sadida, Forgelance, and Écaflip take a hit due to their strong PvP presence.
Cra, Xelor, Enutrof, Ouginak, and Iop see slight reductions in their abilities.
On the other hand, Eniripsa, Pandawa, Sram, Roublard, and Féca receive meaningful buffs to make them more competitive.
Class-specific items are globally nerfed, especially those that lowered AP costs for spammable spells.
With the launch of Unity 6 and deep rebalancing, Dofus 3.1 feels like both a technical and gameplay fresh start — focused on fairness, performance, and long-term stability.
