Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 dives straight into a full Star Wars atmosphere, and fans are in for a treat. Starting in early May 2025, the island turns into a galactic battlefield with stylish lightsabers to collect—each tied to a legendary character: Rey, Darth Sidious, Darth Vader, Mace Windu, and Darth Maul. And spoiler alert: they're not just cool-looking—they’re insanely powerful.
Each lightsaber grants a unique Force ability. Rey gives you a Force Push, Sidious unleashes lightning, Vader can throw his saber, Mace Windu gives you a Force Grapple, and Darth Maul slams enemies around like an angry Jedi. In short, it totally changes how you move and fight, giving real Star Wars vibes.
To get your hands on a lightsaber, you have two options. The cleanest way is to follow a quest tied to a character. Look for icons on the map: blue for Rey, red for the Sith, purple for Windu. Talk to the hologram, accept the training, and you’ll walk away with the lightsaber and the power. Note: you can only pick one per match using this method. The other option is riskier—eliminate a player who already has one and grab it for yourself. It’s faster, but only if you’re confident in combat.
Rey and Sidious appear starting from the second storm circle. See a blue or red icon? Go for it. Vader is a bit trickier—he's located in Solitude (formerly Shogun’s Solitude, now his own hideout). Defeat him to get his mythic saber and saber throw. Mace Windu and Darth Maul arrive on May 8, each with their own quests and powers. Windu’s got a purple saber and a stylish grapple, while Maul wields a red saber and a powerful Force Push.
Pro tip: once the second storm hits, quickly spot the icons and don’t waste time—other players will be going for them too, so be ready to fight for your saber. And if you see someone wielding one in battle, it might be a perfect chance to snag it—if you can survive.
And that’s not all: unlimited-ammo blasters, X-Wings, TIE Fighters, new skins (like Poe Dameron or Emperor Palpatine), and Star Wars-themed locations. Fortnite is going all out.
