Kameto Won’t Be Racing in GP Explorer 3 – A Dream Halted by Technical Limitations

GP Explorer 3, the highly anticipated web and motorsport event, is already shaping up to be a major moment in 2025. But this year, one familiar face will be missing: Kameto. A major figure in French streaming and head of Karmine Corp, he won’t be on the starting grid. The reason? Not a lack of motivation, but a surprisingly simple and insurmountable technical issue—his body frame simply doesn’t fit into a Formula 4 car.

And yet, everything seemed set. Kameto was supposed to team up with Gotaga, founder of the Gentle Mates, in what would’ve been a symbolic and explosive duo, echoing their esports rivalry. “Gotaga asked me to do it with him, and I was super hyped,” Kameto said during a livestream. The desire was there, the hype too. But once it came time for testing, harsh reality quickly stepped in.

When Kameto first sat in the car, he thought it could work. But once the safety gear was installed, he couldn’t move at all. “I could barely move my hands,” he admitted. The main issue? His shoulder width—too broad for the tight cockpit of a Formula 4 car, which is designed for much slimmer body types. Even after a significant weight loss journey he began in late 2024, it wouldn’t have been enough. “He’s not going to lose his shoulders, even if he drops 40 kilos,” Gotaga noted in his vlog.

Still, Kameto isn’t turning his back on the event. He could very well be present in another role—host, hype man, superfan? With his energy and massive fanbase, there’s definitely a spot for him somewhere during the weekend. Some even speculate he might perform a showcase with his KTM during the concert happening alongside the race.

And Kameto isn’t the only notable absentee this year. Former winners Sylvain Lyve and Depielo also won’t be returning, as the organizers chose to refresh the lineup and keep the audience guessing. GP Explorer 3 is aiming for the new, the unexpected, and a show that’s bigger than ever.
