Vitality conquers Austin Major; MongolZ make historic CS2 breakthrough 

In a thrilling display of skill and resilience, Team Vitality claimed their second CS2 Major title at the BLAST.tv Austin Major, concluding on June 22 at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas. Drawing global attention, the event shattered viewership records: over 71 million total Hours Watched, eclipsing previous highs, and reaching a peak of 1.79 million concurrent viewers during the grand final versus The MongolZ. 

The best‑of‑three finale started with MongolZ dominating Mirage 13-5, but Vitality roared back on Dust 2 with a commanding 13-4 win. On Inferno, Vitality applied relentless pressure and closed out 13-6. Captain apEX delivered a standout performance in the decider, while ZywOo earned tournament MVP honors, his second straight Major MVP, following Paris 2023. 

This victory marks Vitality’s seventh consecutive LAN title in 2025 and their eighth trophy overall, cementing their status as the dominant force in competitive Counter‑Strike. Beyond the triumph, The MongolZ’s runner‑up finish makes them the first Asian team to reach a Major final, an inspiring milestone for their region
