L: Gen.G storms back after Game 1 loss to crush G2 

LCK powerhouse Gen.G swept aside EMEA contenders G2 Esports in a 3–1 victory during MSI 2025’s Bracket Stage opener in Vancouver. While G2 stormed past Gen.G in Game 1, dominating early objectives and securing a 22-4 kill advantage, the Korean squad quickly flipped the narrative. 

In Game 2, Gen.G bounced back decisively. Park “Ruler” Jae‑hyuk delivered a staggering 13/2/10 performance on Jhin, spearheading his team’s early gold lead and shutting down G2’s comeback efforts by the 32‑minute mark. 

Game 3 belonged to Canyon. The jungler led Gen.G to map control with a Lee Sin masterclass, targeting Jarvan IV and swinging the momentum through early ganks. A decisive dragon fight at 26 minutes sealed the win and put Gen.G at match point. 

In the fourth match, both sides traded early kills, but Gen.G maintained tight macro discipline. Caps’s Twisted Fate popped off, yet couldn’t stem the tide, Gen.G pierced G2’s base at 30:36 to close the series. 

With this milestone win, Gen.G advances to the upper bracket, while G2 falls to the lower bracket and must fight to avoid early elimination.
