Gen.G’s flawless victory crowns them 2025 League of Legends champions

South Korea’s Gen.G have secured the 2025 League of Legends Esports World Cup title in Riyadh, ending the tournament with a spotless 26‑series win streak and pocketing a commanding US $600,000 priz. Hot off their Mid‑Season Invitational triumph, Gen.G continued their dominance with a gritty 3–2 Grand Final victory over China’s Anyone’s Legend (AG.AL).

The series kicked off with Gen.G efficiently executing early objectives and Baron control to close out the first two games in under 30 minutes each. AG.AL answered back in Games 3 and 4 seizing tempo through aggressive skirmishes and clutch Baron steals, even winning a marathon 46‑minute standoff to level the series. But Gen.G rallied in the decider: superior macro play and relentless teamfight discipline secured victory after 29 minutes.

Kim “Kiin” Ki‑in was rightfully named Finals MVP, anchoring Gen.G’s top lane and earning praise as “electric” by fans in Riyadh. T1 claimed third place with a clean 2-0 sweep over G2, taking home US $230,000.

Gen.G is dominating the Club Championship leaderboard, riding high on a historic run as they gear up to crush the LCK Summer and aim for Worlds glory.
