The 39th edition of the Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts – running from July 23 to August 2, 2025 – is not just a concert lineup. Under the theme “Here is Jordan… and its glory continues,” this year’s edition features over 235 events spanning poetry, philosophy, children’s theatre, art exhibitions, and family shows. It redefines Divertissement in Jordan by placing cultural dialogue and intellectual engagement at its core.
One of the most striking sections is the literary and intellectual programme: daytime panels explore how **AI is reshaping storytelling**, while others dive into preserving **Palestinian refugee camp memory**. With 140 poets participating, the festival bridges traditional oral arts and current cultural concerns.
Held within Jerash’s majestic ancient theatres, the **Arab Philosophy Conference** turns philosophical discussion into performance art, where legal and ethical debates complement musical acts and theatrical storytelling, offering audiences a rare blend of ideas and entertainment.
Families can enjoy **monodrama showcases**, shadow storytelling, and theatre designed for younger audiences. Workshops and exhibitions, including programmes for **visually impaired children**, ensure that culture is accessible and engaging for all members of Jordan’s society.
Local and international troupes from 37 countries will bring folk performances, handicrafts, and fine arts displays to historic venues across Jerash and beyond. These events take place not only in the ancient theatres and Column Street, but also in Amman, Irbid, Madaba, and Zarqa, making the festival a national cultural movement.
This edition of Jerash Festival proves that entertainment in Jordan is evolving. It’s no longer about star-studded concerts alone—it’s about leveraging culture to spark conversation, reflect heritage, explore emerging technologies, and foster inclusion. In 2025, Jerash becomes a platform where poetry, philosophy, music, and art converge in dialogue with the audience.
