Battlefield 6: Everything You Need to Know About the Beta, Dates, and Rewards

The Battlefield 6 beta gave players their first deep dive into EA’s upcoming FPS, set for official release in October 2025. Spread across multiple phases, it let the community experience new maps, modes, and mechanics well before launch.

Early access was reserved for players who pre-ordered the game, obtained a code from an influencer, or earned a key via Twitch Drops by watching 30 minutes of a participating stream. This phase took place on August 7–8, 2025. The open beta then welcomed everyone in two free sessions: August 9–10 and August 14–17, 2025. In total, players had around eight days of multiplayer testing—more than enough to get familiar with the gameplay.

Pre-loading was available on PC (Origin, Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, and strongly recommended to avoid long queues at launch.

On PC, the minimum requirements called for Windows 10 64-bit, an Intel Core i5-6600K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600, 8 GB of RAM, and a GTX 1050 Ti or RX 560, with roughly 30 GB of disk space. For an optimal experience, EA recommended Windows 10/11 64-bit, an Intel Core i7-4790 or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X, 16 GB of RAM, and an RTX 2070 Super or RX 6700 XT, along with a stable internet connection. High-end setups could take advantage of 4K resolution and ray tracing.

Participating in the beta also granted exclusive rewards available at launch: special event-themed weapon and soldier skins, progression tokens, XP bonuses, and cosmetics earned through Twitch Drops. Some rewards required the purchase of the full game, but all offered a head start for the October release.

In short, the beta was a twofold opportunity: a free chance to try Battlefield 6’s multiplayer content and a way to secure exclusive bonuses—while getting ready for the big launch in October.
