The Battlefield 6 Early Access, held on August 7–8, 2025, gave a select group of players the chance to experience the game ahead of its October release. Reserved for a limited audience, this closed beta was only available to those who pre-ordered the game before July 31, received an invitation through Twitch Drops, or were registered with Battlefield Labs before the deadline. No new sign-ups were accepted after that date.
There were three ways to gain entry to this exclusive session:
Pre-order: Automatically guaranteed a spot in the closed beta.
Twitch Drops: Watching at least one hour of the official July 31 stream, with an EA account linked to your Twitch account, granted a drop confirming beta access.
Battlefield Labs: Players registered before July 31 received their invitation directly with no further requirements.
Eligibility could be checked by viewing your Twitch Drops inventory after linking your EA and Twitch accounts.
Pre-loading began on August 4, 2025, for PC (Origin, Steam, Epic Games Store), PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, allowing players to be ready as soon as servers went live and to avoid long queues.
The Early Access featured multiple multiplayer maps and modes, letting players test dynamic environment destruction, new shooting mechanics, and revamped classes. It was also a chance to learn the layouts, refine strategies, and unlock exclusive rewards for the game’s official launch.
Players who missed this phase could still join the open beta, available to everyone from August 9–10 and August 14–17, 2025.
