PUBG Mobile World Cup 2025: Epic battles and historic victories

The PUBG Mobile World Cup 2025, held from July 25 to August 3 in Riyadh as part of the Esports World Cup, set new milestones across competition and audience engagement. Twenty-four elite squads competed for part of the $3.05 million prize pool, delivering high-stakes action across group, survival, and Grand Final stages. 

Myanmar’s underdog team, Yangon Galacticos, rose from near-elimination, squeaking into the finals by a mere point, to dominate the Grand Final. Loaded with four Chicken Dinners and finishing 15 points clear of the runner-up, Weibo Gaming, they secured a total of $547,000 and earned 1,000 Club Championship points. 

Viewer numbers soared: peak concurrent viewership surpassed 1.38 million, more than doubling the previous year’s benchmarks and making this the most-watched PUBG Mobile event since 2021. 

With its compelling underdog story, record-breaking audiences, and Myanmar’s triumphant return to the global stage, PMWC 2025 reinvigorated the PUBG Mobile esports scene and set the stage for the year-end Global Championship in Thailand.
