1. Welcome and thanks for accepting this interview. Can you briefly introduce yourself and your team?
Hello, thank you! My name is Logan Coupier, my in-game nickname is War, and I’m the captain of the Warthox team in EVA Ligue 1. My team includes six players: Dimzy, D3SkOo, Percevelow, Alpha, and MJR.
2. What made you join this team?
I joined the team last year after getting the opportunity to take part in the LCQ (Last Chance Qualifier), with the goal of making it into EVA Ligue 2 — which we did! The roster was different back then. We had five players: still Dimzy, but also Brigitte, LicorneQ, and Mily.
3. What is your biggest goal?
This year, my goal is to win both EVA Ligue 1 and the 2025 French Cup.
4. What would you say is your biggest strength as a player?
My biggest strength is training. I train a lot to become the best player I can be.
5. Is there a player or team that particularly inspires you? Why?
The player who inspires me is my teammate Dimzy: perseverance, mental strength, game sense. She played and won the EWC with the French national EVA team. She’s my driving force.
What skills do you think are necessary to be a good EVA player?
You need to play smart, be physically fit, resilient, and able to self-reflect in order to improve. And above all: train a lot.
7. In your opinion, who’s the best player in the world?
Dimzy. Yeah, maybe I’m totally biased — but nobody asked me to be objective!
8. If you had to describe each of your teammates with one word, what would it be?
- Dimzy : machine
- Percevelow : brain
- Alpha : unpredictable
- D3SkOo : skill
- MJR : manager
9. What made you want to get into esports?
I love this game. I wasn’t bad at it, someone reached out to me — so I thought: why not?
10. How does it feel to be named Best Prospect 2024? Do you feel pressure?
It’s super rewarding to see all the hard work finally pay off! Of course, you have to stay humble and keep pushing forward. I try not to put too much pressure on myself and take things one step at a time.
11. Where does your nickname “War” come from? ?
It’s been my nickname since I was a kid playing MW2, pulling off big 360s with the Intervention!
12. Outside the EVA League, what other games or activities are you passionate about?
Outside EVA, I go to the gym to improve my physical condition. I don’t really play other video games anymore — I just don’t have the time.
13. What’s your favorite weapon, and which one do you hate the most?
Favorite weapon: the Atlas sniper. Weapon I hate: the ERG… that laser 🤮
14. How many hours a day should a pro player train?
It depends on the week. We can train anywhere from 4 to 8 or even 10 hours per week. EVA is quite expensive, so training time is limited.
15. Do you need a physical routine to play EVA?
Yes — to last in this discipline, a healthy lifestyle and physical routine are essential.
16. Is there an underrated player you'd like to support?
Ace (EDS), who was with Warthox at the end of last season. I wish him all the best — he has my full support.
17. What’s your favorite season and map in EVA?
Season 4, and my favorite map is Atlantis!
18. How did you discover EVA and what made you stick with it? ?
I discovered EVA because it’s just 5 minutes from where I live. What hooked me was the innovation: a Call of Duty-style game in virtual reality! The mix of sport and gaming makes it a unique experience. I loved it instantly.
19. If you were in charge of EVA esports tomorrow, what would you improve?
I’d look for more partnerships to make EVA esports known globally. I’d bring in big esports organizations and create a real competitive scene. Of course, all that takes time, but I’d love to see the game become more professional.
20. Any final message for the fans?
Thank you to everyone who’s been following and supporting us from the start. We give it our all to bring you amazing matches and great wins. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being here. GO WARTHOX 💙🖤
