The Call of Duty Black Ops 7 beta, available from October 2 to 8, 2025, has already revealed which weapons dominate the meta. Even with a limited arsenal, some clearly stand out. Mastering them early will give you a significant advantage in multiplayer and make progressing through challenges and new modes easier.
These weapons are the most powerful and versatile in the beta, easy to handle and deadly in almost every situation.
The M8A1 (tactical rifle) makes a strong comeback after its success in Black Ops 2. Its burst fire can eliminate enemies with a single precise burst, effective at both short and long range, especially with a scope and long barrel. Its fast execution makes it one of the most feared weapons.
The Dravec 45 (SMG) is the queen of close-quarters combat while still performing well at mid-range. With the right attachments like a long barrel, grip, and extended magazine, it excels at rushing and securing objectives.
The M15 MOD 0 (assault rifle) offers an excellent balance of mobility and firepower. Its high fire rate allows it to win mid-range duels and compete with most other rifles.
The Peacekeeper Mk1 (assault rifle) is the perfect choice for players who value precision and stability, especially on maps with long sightlines.
These weapons are less universal but remain highly effective in the right situations.
The MXR-17 (assault rifle) stands out for its high damage and recoil control. Ideal for large maps and more patient players, it’s slightly slower than the fastest rifles.
The Razor 9mm (SMG) focuses on speed and mobility. It deals less damage than the Dravec 45 but is perfect for flanking and playing aggressively on objectives.
The M10 Breacher (shotgun) is the best choice for close-range combat, especially for clearing interiors and defending objectives with its reliable one-shot power up close.
The Ryden 45K (SMG) is another excellent rush option, while the VS Recon (sniper) appeals to quickscopers thanks to its great handling and speed, making it perfect for flashy eliminations.
Weapons like the CODA 9 (pistol) or the XR-3 Ion (secondary marksman rifle) are still useful for specific loadouts or particular challenges, but they can’t compete with the dominant options in most situations.
