A massive leak has just set the community on fire: Fortnite and The Simpsons are indeed teaming up, and this time, the clues are almost impossible to ignore. Images have been circulating for a few days showing a brand-new map inspired by Springfield, and Epic Games poured fuel on the fire with an official teaser on its website: the phrase “Eat my Shorts El Barto”, a direct reference to Bart Simpson. So this is no longer just a rumor, the collab looks more than credible.
The leaked visuals show a full map featuring several iconic locations from the series: Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, Evergreen Terrace (where the Simpsons and the Flanders families live), the Kwik-E-Mart, Duff Brewery, and even Kamp Krusty. Some players claim to have spotted Springfield Gorge, the famous cliff where Homer once crashed his bike. The atmosphere appears more cartoonish than ever, with a cel-shaded art style to match the tone of the show.
It wouldn’t just be a skin or a limited-time mode, a fully playable Springfield-inspired map seems to be in the works, potentially as a rotating or limited event map. Dataminers mention a smaller map than the main island, perfect for faster matches and more casual gameplay.
On the skin side, the Battle Pass would feature several iconic characters: Homer, Marge, and Ned Flanders have already been spotted in the files, and Bart is expected to join them given the “El Barto” teaser. “Simpsons-style” variants of Fortnite characters like Peely or Fishstick are also rumored. And of course, new cosmetic items are expected: a donut glider, a Duff Beer pickaxe, and maybe even Lisa’s saxophone as a back accessory.
This collaboration could be one of the biggest since the ones with Star Wars, Marvel, or Dragon Ball. Fortnite isn’t just adding skins anymore, it’s building full crossover universes. And since The Simpsons will soon celebrate its 36th anniversary, the timing seems perfect for an event honoring pop culture on both sides.
Dataminers are pointing to a release date around November 1, 2025, possibly to kick off the new season. Nothing official yet, but the “Eat my Shorts” teaser on Epic’s website makes it almost certain.
