Fortnite: When is The Simpsons live event happening?

The Fortnite x The Simpsons live event is just around the corner, and the hype is already building among players. According to several well-known leakers such as Hypex and SamLeakss, the live event is scheduled for October 31, 2025, at 8 PM (French time), right on Halloween night, just as the Springfield universe prepares to take over the game.

This event will serve as the transition between the end of the current season and the mini-season dedicated to The Simpsons, officially launched with patch v38.00. As usual with Epic Games, the live show will be fully scripted and cinematic, featuring an interactive sequence where players can take part in the collapse of the island before its complete transformation into a cartoon-style world.

According to files found in the test servers, the event’s codename is “Operation Springfield.” It will reportedly feature Homer, Marge, Bart, and Ned Flanders trying to escape the chaos triggered by the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant. Green explosions and time rifts will appear across the island, echoing past events such as The End or Collision. Dataminers also mention a humorous sequence voiced by the show’s official actors, a first for a crossover of this scale in Fortnite.

The live event will be followed by a several-hour downtime, likely lasting until the next morning, November 1. During this maintenance, Epic will deploy the major v38.00 update, activating the new themed map and Simpsons skins already seen in leaks: Homer, Marge, Bart, Flanders, and possibly Lisa. Several special emotes, including Homer eating a donut and Bart tagging “El Barto,” will be available as post-event rewards.

Epic Games seems determined to make this a memorable moment, on the same level as past Star Wars or Marvel crossovers. According to insiders, the game lobby will be fully redecorated in Springfield style the following day, featuring temporary minigames, Duff Beer missions, and a menu theme based on the show’s original music.

As always, players should log in at least 30 minutes before the event since servers tend to fill up quickly. A countdown timer will appear in the lobby a few days beforehand, and the special playlist “Fortnite x The Simpsons Event” will activate automatically.
