A legendary win from T1, achieving the first three-peat ever

T1 has etched their name into League of Legends lore by capturing the 2025 World Championship, narrowly defeating KT Rolster 3–2 at the Dong’an Lake Sports Park in Chengdu.

This marks T1’s third straight Worlds title, a first in tournament history, and their sixth overall—the most by any organization. Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, the team’s iconic mid-laner, now holds six championships, cementing his legend status.

The Grand Final itself was a rollercoaster. KT surged ahead after games two and three, powered by Bdd’s Mel and Cuzz’s unkillable Dr. Mundo. But T1 fought back. In game four, Oner’s critical smite steals turned objective battles in their favor. In the climactic Game 5, T1’s aggressive draft and Gumayusi’s game-changing “Bullet Time” secured the win.

Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong was crowned Finals MVP, delivering stellar performances throughout the final series—averaging 8.7/2.9/8.6 and dishing out massive damage. This victory solidifies T1’s dynasty and underscores their dominance in LoL esports.
