OpTic Texas shines with clutch plays, winning CDL opening tournament

OpTic Texas opened the Call of Duty League Black Ops 7 era in style by winning the Monster Energy Launch Invitational after a tight 4 to 3 Grand Final against Still Orgless. The reigning CDL champions started strong in the upper bracket, sweeping both Carolina Royal Ravens and FaZe Vegas with clean 3 to 0 wins. Their first meeting with Still Orgless also ended in a dominant 3 to 0 scoreline, securing an early ticket to the Grand Final.

Still Orgless, led by former Los Angeles Thieves players Dylan Envoy Hannon and Dan Ghosty Rothe, battled through the lower bracket with impressive resilience. After dropping the first Hardpoint in their lower bracket final, they rallied with key wins on Colossus Hardpoint and Den Search and Destroy, earning their first Grand Final appearance of the season.

The championship series went the full seven maps, delivering one of the most competitive matches of the early Black Ops 7 cycle. OpTic Texas once again relied on exceptional Search and Destroy play to secure the final map Scar with a 6 to 4 finish. The win awarded OpTic the top share of the seventy five thousand dollar prize pool and solid momentum heading into the CDL regular season beginning on December 5.
