Fortnite x Harry Potter: Houses, Items, and Rewards Explained

The Harry Potter collaboration is part of Winterfest 2025, Fortnite’s end-of-year event starting around December 18, 2025. From that point on, the first wizarding-world skins and cosmetics begin appearing in the Item Shop, as well as through event rewards throughout the second half of December.

This release is part of a major push around the license. Epic is also taking the opportunity to offer Hogwarts Legacy for free on the Epic Games Store for a few days, giving everyone a reason to dive back into the magical universe. On the Fortnite side, the timing couldn’t be better: snow, winter vibes, and movie nostalgia all line up perfectly.

At the core of the collab are, of course, Hogwarts-inspired skins. Each outfit reflects the colors and identity of the four iconic houses: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw. You can proudly show off your house thanks to multiple style variants, visible crests, and themed accessories that fully sell the wizard look.

On top of that, Epic has added a whole set of magical items. You’ll find wands as pickaxes, brooms as gliders, and several emotes inspired directly by iconic spells. Leaks also mention a mythic broom-type item that would let you move quickly across the map, very much in line with past major Fortnite collaborations.

Getting all this content is straightforward. Most of the Harry Potter cosmetics are available in the Item Shop for V-Bucks, either through full bundles or as individual items like skins, pickaxes, gliders, and emotes. The good news is that some cosmetics are also expected to be free during Winterfest, unlocked through challenges or daily gifts, including a Chocolate Frog back bling that’s already winning over the community.

Dataminers are also pointing to the arrival of special Hogwarts-themed quests, offering limited-time rewards.
