Everything started with a preparation phase running from October 30 to December 16, 2025. During this time, you had to build the caravan and gather resources through dedicated quests. The real decision window then opens between December 17 and December 22. That’s when you choose whether or not to go on the expedition. On December 22, players who have confirmed their participation officially trigger the wipe. If you want to take part, logging in from December 17 onward is essential to register.
This first expedition is part of an approximately 60-day cycle, with the next one already planned for late February or early March 2026. It’s clear that Embark is setting up a new long-term routine aimed at the most dedicated players.
To participate, there’s only one real requirement: reaching level 20. Once you hit that milestone, the expedition project becomes available in the Codex. During the preparation phase, you must complete the caravan by collecting materials and resources through drops and specific quests. Even after you sign up, your loot and stash continue to count until December 22, so nothing is locked in too early.
The good news is that no purchase is required. The expedition is completely free for eligible accounts, and it’s mainly designed for veteran players looking for a fresh start without being completely stripped of their progress.
In terms of rewards, going on an expedition is clearly worth it. Each participation grants temporary, stackable buffs across three different expeditions: +10% repair speed, +5% XP, and +6% materials via Scrappy. On top of that, with each wipe, 1 million Coins earns you one bonus skill point, up to a maximum of five.
Not everything is lost during the reset far from it. You keep your Codex, Raider tokens, renown, Loadout progression, leaderboards, trials, cosmetics, and events. On the other hand, you lose your inventory, level, skill tree, and initial access to the hideout, although any previously unlocked stations remain available.
