World of Warcraft: what should you prioritize with only 2 hours a day to get back into the game?

Coming back to World of Warcraft at the very end of The War Within, with only two hours a day, is all about prioritization. With Midnight right around the corner and Season 3 coming to an end, not everything has the same value anymore. The goal isn’t long-term optimization, but catching up intelligently before certain content disappears.

The first thing you should focus on, almost every day, is the seasonal rewards that are still available. If your gear level allows it, the raid should be a top priority. Even without aiming for Mythic, killing Dimensius on Heroic before the end of the season lets you secure high-level gear and avoid missing out on a feat of strength that will be permanently unavailable. You don’t need to spend entire evenings on it: one or two well-prepared attempts through the group finder are often enough.

Next, if you’re a PvE player, Mythic+ offers the best time-to-reward ratio. One key per day, even a low one, feeds your weekly vault and helps you raise your item level quickly. There’s no need to spam runs: consistency matters more than volume, especially when you’re coming back. In two hours, you can easily fit in one clean key, or even two if everything goes smoothly.

If PvP interests you, now is the time. Season 3 titles, transmogs, and mounts will disappear very soon. Even if you’re not aiming for the top of the ladder, reaching certain rating thresholds lets you unlock unique rewards. And even after the season ends, continuing to play still allows you to farm honor and conquest, so nothing is completely lost.

Finally, always keep 15 to 20 minutes for “easy” but rewarding content: weekly quests, Khaz Algar events, and fine-tuning your build and talents. These small details often make a big difference when you head back into dungeons or raids.
