ARC Raiders: how to get and use Seeker Grenades

In ARC Raiders, Seeker Grenades, also known as tracking grenades, are among the most powerful utility tools in the game. They let you apply pressure, flush out a hidden enemy, or force a reposition without exposing yourself directly. Unlike standard grenades, however, you can’t just loot them randomly during your first runs.

To unlock Seeker Grenades, the first step is progressing your account. They’re tied to overall progression and unlock through XP milestones. Until you reach the required level, they won’t appear in your inventory or your loadout menu. The key is to chain clean runs, complete side objectives, and above all survive extraction, since that’s when XP is actually validated.

Once the milestone is unlocked, Seeker Grenades become available in the grenades / utilities category of your loadout. Be careful: they don’t automatically replace your standard grenades. You have to equip them manually before starting a mission, otherwise you’ll deploy with your default gear. Many players think they’ve unlocked them but simply forget this step.

In-game, their behavior is simple but deadly. Once thrown, the grenade automatically detects nearby enemies, whether players or ARCs, and homes in on them. It’s a perfect tool for scouting a dangerous area, checking if a building is occupied, or forcing an opponent out of cover. In solo play, it gives you valuable information with minimal risk. In a squad, it’s often used as the trigger before a coordinated push.

To maximize their effectiveness, adapt your build. Certain perks and modules improve grenade usage frequency, radius, or overall impact. Without going full min-max, reducing cooldowns or increasing your utility capacity makes a real difference over the course of a raid.
