Fortnite x South Park: everything you need to know about the collaboration

Fortnite and South Park make for one of the most unexpected and fun crossovers right now. This collab, called Born in Chaos, transforms the Fortnite island with the show’s absurd humor while adding playable content you can unlock, customize, and use in matches.

The collaboration has been live since January 9, 2026, and runs until February 5, 2026. It’s available across all standard modes, including classic Battle Royale and Zero Build. Epic Games didn’t just drop a few skins in the shop: they added a themed area, special items, dedicated quests, exclusive cosmetics, and even a limited-time mini event.

At the heart of the collab are, of course, the South Park characters reimagined Fortnite-style. In the shop, you can find skins for Cartman, Stan, Kyle, Kenny, and Butters, each redesigned with a mech-inspired Fortnite look that fits the game’s aesthetic while staying true to the iconic characters. Each skin costs around 1,500 V-Bucks, and if you want everything at once, a full bundle is available for roughly 3,200 to 3,800 V-Bucks depending on daily offers. Towelie, the flying companion, is also sold separately for around 1,200 V-Bucks.

This isn’t just about looks. The collaboration also introduces unique items like the Stick of Truth, a special pickup you can find in matches that lets you knock back and stun enemies. It shakes up standard fights and can give you a real tactical edge if you use it at the right moment.

For players who want content without spending money, Epic Games also offers a free mini Battle Pass tied to the event. It works like a classic pass: complete South Park–specific quests, progress through tiers, and unlock free cosmetics such as emotes, sprays, and back blings.
