Alesh Arknights Endfield: the best Cryo Battery build explained

In Arknights Endfield, Alesh fills a very specific but extremely valuable role: Cryo Battery. His goal isn’t just to deal damage, but above all to keep the team running faster by accelerating energy recovery and ultimate rotations, while applying constant Cryo pressure. When properly built, he becomes a key unit in Cryo compositions and remains highly relevant in certain physical teams as well.

Alesh mainly scales with Strength, which increases the impact of his basic attacks and his ultimate, with Intelligence as a secondary stat to boost his Cryo damage and overall skill efficiency. His gameplay revolves around a simple loop: generate energy, trigger his ultimate, then enable your DPS units to fully unleash their damage windows.

Early on, Rising Tide is clearly the best free-to-play weapon. It’s easy to obtain from chests and remains more than sufficient up to mid game. In endgame, Chassailettes 3.0 stands out as the optimal choice thanks to offensive bonuses perfectly suited to his role. If you’re looking for an accessible alternative, Thermite Cutter and Builder are both excellent options depending on your progression and banner luck.

For armor, always prioritize durability and energy generation. Early heavy sets like Heavy Armor Prototype and GIA gear keep Alesh safe in early content. As you progress, the Armored MSGR set followed by Catastrophe Heavy Armor significantly improve his survivability in prolonged fights. In late game, Frontier Armor combined with Eternal Xiranite pieces turns Alesh into an almost permanent battery, capable of chaining rotations without downtime.

When it comes to skills, the priority is straightforward. Upgrade Monstrous Catch! first, as his ultimate defines his entire impact.
