New Overwatch heroes: who are Jetpack Cat, Domina, Emre, Mizuki, and Anran?

With Season 1 of the Overwatch reboot, Blizzard introduces five new characters at once, something the game has not seen in a long time. Jetpack Cat, Domina, Emre, Mizuki, and Anran mark the beginning of the Reign of Talon narrative arc and set the tone for the new direction of the hero shooter, with more experimental kits and a stronger role in the overall story.

Domina is the only tank in the group and is designed as a zone-control character. Her gameplay revolves around creating segmented barriers, pushing enemies back, and dealing precise mid-range damage. She has a large shield pool and can trap opponents with her ultimate, making her a tank focused on pressure and space management rather than pure damage absorption.

Emre joins the DPS category with a more aggressive playstyle and a strong narrative connection to Talon. A former Overwatch member turned cybernetically enhanced mercenary, he uses a burst rifle, technological grenades, and abilities centered on survivability and sustained damage. His gameplay focuses on fast engagements and the ability to remain dangerous even under pressure.

Anran is the other DPS hero introduced this season. Inspired by a martial style built around fire, she uses flaming fans and focuses on mobility and fast damage output. She represents a more technical offensive profile, where positioning and timing are essential to maximize impact during fights.

Mizuki fills a hybrid support role. His kit combines healing, crowd control, and mobility, with abilities that can bounce between allies and create protective zones that block incoming projectiles. He can also reposition quickly through a teleportation mechanic, making him a highly active support during team rotations.

Jetpack Cat is likely the most unconventional character of the group. This flying support heals and deals damage while remaining constantly in motion. The gameplay centers on vertical mobility and the ability to help allies reposition across the map, introducing a new strategic dimension to team fights.
