WoW: How to Complete “Tough Love” Easily

The achievement “Tough Love” is part of the seasonal Love is in the Air event in World of Warcraft. The objective itself is simple, requiring the use of a specific item on a specific target, but the difficulty mainly comes from timing and location.

To complete it, you first need to obtain a Bouquet of Red Roses. This item can be purchased from event vendors using Love Tokens, the currency earned through the event’s daily quests. Once you have the bouquet, it cannot be used anywhere. The target must be a royal guard inside an enemy faction capital city.

The simplest method is to travel to the main capital of the opposing faction, locate an elite guard near an entrance or common pathway, and use the bouquet directly on them. If the conditions are met, the achievement is awarded immediately. Character level does not affect completion, but surviving afterward can be difficult at lower levels, as nearby guards will become hostile once the action is performed.

In practice, several approaches make the achievement easier. Classes with stealth, invisibility, or strong mobility tools can enter the city, use the item, and escape more safely. Another common strategy is simply accepting death after using the bouquet, since the achievement is granted instantly even if the character is killed immediately afterward.

This achievement is part of the event’s meta-achievement, required to progress toward the associated title and rewards tied to Love is in the Air. Because the event is time-limited, the most efficient approach is to complete it alongside the daily quests, allowing you to immediately spend earned Love Tokens on the required bouquet.
