Viktoria Plzen struck first on 11 minutes as Denis Visinsky finished Lukas Cerv’s assist to put the visitors 1-0 up.
Panathinaikos hit back on 31 minutes through Andrews Tetteh’s powered header, set up by Giorgos Kyriakopoulos, to make it 1-1.
Tetteh then completed his brace on 61 minutes to swing the game to 2-1, with Vicente Taborda providing the assist.
Plzen had the final say on 80 minutes as Tomas Ladra, fed by Matej Valenta, fired in to secure a 2-2 draw.
Key player : Andrews Tetteh (Panathinaikos Athens) : He delivered a two-goal haul that directly accounted for both of Panathinaikos’ goals in the 2-2 draw. First, he powered in a headed equalizer to make it 1-1, cancelling out the early deficit. Then he struck again to put Panathinaikos 2-1 ahead, a lead that ultimately secured them a point.
With Tetteh carrying the attacking threat and Plzen responding late, the 2-2 finish felt like a fair reflection of a match shaped by sharp spells from both sides.
